The 10 places I want to travel before I die

Monday, 25 March 2019

This world we live in is full of so much mystery, beauty and excitement.

I love to travel. I love learning about new and old cultures, experiencing different food and ways of living. I feel that every place I’ve visited has opened my mind just that little bit more and because of that I will never stop and I will always encourage my son to do the same.

So with that said, here is 10 places still on my bucket list.

Sea of Stars on Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives
The bioluminescence in the water due to marine microbes called phytoplankton, create an amazing effect on the shore that lights up the oceans with beautiful blue lights. It’s like something straight out of the Avatar movie.

Tahiti, French Polynesia
One of the best tropical destinations, situated halfway between Los Angeles and Sydney, Tahiti has it all - Crystal clear beaches, lagoons, waterfalls, valleys, rainforests, extinct volcanoes and plenty of action packed island adventures

The Blue Lagoon, Iceland
A geothermal natural spa surrounded by beautiful scenery, the water there is rich in minerals. You can get in-water massages and natural beauty treatments tailored for your skin using rare algae and minerals as well as purchase silica masks.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany
Labelled as "Germany’s fairy tale dream town", Rothenburg is known for it’s well preserved medieval history and buildings. It would be like taking a trip through a thousand years of history. I've also heard the museum there is incredibly memorable.

New Orleans, USA
Famous for annual celebrations and festivals; such as Mardi Gras. However, I’m most interested in the historic part of the city, the french quarter and all the supernatural legends in regards to the witches and vampires surrounding it.

Jerusalem, Israel
It's considered one of the world’s holiest cities in the world. Visiting Jerusalem would be like travelling back in time again. I would love to visit the Israel museum and City of David.

The Great Barrier Reef, Australia
The largest coral reef system and the only living organism that can be spotted from space. As it's famous for its unparalleled natural diversity, snorkelling there would just be incredible.

Egypt is full of history. After the pyramids, there are temples filled with interesting carvings, paintings and hieroglyphics. I love all the stories about the egyptian gods, not to mention Egypt also has some pretty incredible beaches.

Pompeii, Southern Italy
An ancient Roman city, buried after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The preserved site now features excavated ruins of streets, houses and shops that I could explore.

Seoul, South Korea
The host of delicious food, crazy nightlife, history and advanced technology. Seoul is also at the forefront of the cosmetics industry, creating some of the most unrecognizable surgical transformations in the world.

Where do you want to go?
